Individual therapy focuses on helping give you the mechanisms to handle your problems in a healthy way and to feel better yourself and your life.

Individual therapy helps you identify your moods, emotions, thought-patterns and behaviour. Individual therapy can treat specific mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, or ADHD. However, many therapy clients come for individual therapy without any diagnosable mental health condition and instead are seeking help with life changes, trust, relationships, stress, career ambitions, insomnia, abuse, or eating disorders.

It is key that you are a good match to your counsellor as this improves effectiveness of therapy. Asking your therapists questions during your appointment can help build this rapport and match.
