I am a Somatic Therapist and Movement Educator My passion is helping people be more grounded in their bodies so they can reconnect to their gut instinct and intuition. This helps them feel more confident and connected to themselves. As a result they find deeper intimacy and connection in their relationships. I support people dealing with stress, anxiety, grief, relationship issues and challenging life transitions.
My focus in sessions is first to create an atmosphere of acceptance, compassion and safety. We then journey together to uncover how the holding in your body relates to the places you feel stuck in life. Gentle movements and breath work will uncover the parts of yourself that have been rejected and disowned. By accepting and integrating these parts in yourself, your interaction with others starts to change and relating becomes easier. Using embodiment tools I help you connect with, and better communicate your needs and boundaries in a loving and respectful way. Learning the language of the body in our sessions helps you set boundaries, communicate more effectively and manage stress, conflict and anxiety.
I have been teaching movement for over 20 years and in 2014 I completed 4 year Core Energetics Somatic Training in the Netherlands. My work is trauma informed and I am influenced by the teachings of Peter Levine, Stephen Porges and Pat Ogden. I am also trained in Compassion Key, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), IFS (Internal Family Systems), Grief Yoga and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Pilates, Gyrokinesis and Body Rolling.
