My name is Jinny Gupta (MBACP, MSc), and I am a psychotherapist and counsellor based in West London, W4. I started my own therapy journey knowing somewhere that things weren’t feeling ‘right’ a lot of the time. Having lived in different places, the challenges of my own shifting identity added to the confusion of working out who I was! Eager to make sense of the things that didn’t, I got to Socrates’ task of ‘know thyself’.
The philosophies and theories that guide my practice include Gestalt and Existential approaches, Jungian Analysis, CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I like to draw on mindfulness and compassion whilst working with difficult emotions. I offer a space that feels non-judgmental, warm and empathic, allowing you to undertake an enquiry into your life with as much openness and honesty as possible.
I completed my training at Regent's University, London, with a distinction in UKCP accredited Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (ADIP). I have worked in various mental health settings such as MIND-Hammersmith and Fulham, West London Centre for Counselling (WLCC), and Ealing Abbey Counselling Service (EACS), dealing with a host of mental health and well-being related issues. I am a registered member of BACP and hope to be a registered member of the UKCP by the end of 2022.
