I have lived in several different countries and speak a number of languages. I have over twenty five years of experience working as a psychotherapist and counsellor in a wide variety of settings with a large variety of clients; a university (the LSE), primary and secondary schools, eating disorder charity, with domestic abuse and sexual violence. I am currently working for a charity counselling women who have experienced domestic abuse. I’ve had a private psychotherapy practice for many years seeing individuals and couples; younger and older adults and adolescents. I also offer EMDR sessions and parental consultations. I’m UKCP reg as an Integrative Psychotherapist. My clients are at the centre of the therapy we do together. I work in a person centred way which means I adapt the way I work dependant upon what issues you bring and are struggling with. I also use EMDR to help clients with many issues. The therapy session is your space to talk, explore and reflect upon what is going on and what has brought you here. I can also give you strategies, tools and techniques if you would like me to.

I taught English for a while and then spent nearly thirty years working as a counsellor and psychotherapist with both individuals, couples and groups. I have experience running stress management groups, self-esteem groups and bereavement groups for students. I have also trained students in counselling skills to support their peers. I am a qualified EMDR practitioner and often use this technique in therapy.
