Hi, I'm Hamilton. I'm a counsellor and trainer. I help people like you to navigate, make sense of and heal from challenging relationships in their life. It could be that your relationship with your partner or friend has broken down or that romantic relationships in general are challenging for you. Perhaps you're experiencing conflict with your parent or a family member or it's your relationship with a colleague or manager that is causing issues for you. Or maybe you've realised that the relationship you have with yourself is challenging and your critical inner voice is getting you down. When relationships don't go smoothly or become difficult it can have a big impact on how you feel. Having a safe, confidential space to explore this may help you to gain clarity, to find ways forwards and improve relationships in your life. I work with adult clients (18+) facing this struggles in my Chiswick practice and also based across the UK through secure online platforms and telephone. I offer you a free 15 minute phone or Zoom call so we can meet one another. In this, you can find out more about my approach to counselling and get a feel for how I might be as your therapist. Then, if I do feel like the right fit for you, we can book in our first full therapy session together. I welcome people of all identities, backgrounds and abilities into my counselling practice and if anything you've read here on this profile resonates with you or you have any questions at, please do contact me.

Having a safe, confidential space to work through your relationship challenges together can help you to explore what you're experiencing, understand this more and find ways to move forwards that can help you to live with more ease, a revitalised, happier and more fulfilling life. My approach to counselling is known as 'person-centred' but what does that mean? Well, I believe that everyone person is unique and that you, as the client, are the expert of your own world. I’ll work alongside you, supporting you to explore your experiences, untangle them and find your own answers and ways forward. I believe that you have the resources within you to move towards the life you wish to lead but that sometimes experiences you may have had in your life and beliefs about yourself that may have developed might get in your way. In therapy with me, and within a safe and accepting relationship you will be able to explore these difficulties and work through them with me, towards greater self-awareness and understanding of how you are within your world along with self-healing and self-acceptance. In our sessions, we will find ways to work together that are tailored to your own unique needs and style. It will be your space to decide what feels important for you to explore and if you wish to we can use creativity within this. You can decide what we look at each week together and I’ll regularly check in with you to make sure that you are getting what you’d like to from your therapy. It will be your safe space and I’m committed to ensuring you get the most from it.

So, how did I come to be a counsellor? Well prior to being a therapist, I gained experience working in the corporate world and also within the performing arts industry. I discovered counselling myself as a client and after the transformation I saw it cause within me and the relationships I had in my life, I decided to train so I could help others experience similar changes in their lives. And so, I attended Metanoia Institute, one of the UK's leading providers of training in counselling and psychotherapy for 4 years, graduating with a degree and clinical diploma in Person-Centred Counselling. Since then, I’ve also completed specialist training in online and phone counselling so I am able to deliver these modes of counselling alongside my work in person. Alongside my private practice I am also an Academic Lecturer at Metanoia Institute. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and I adhere to their frameworks. This means that my work with you is always conducted professionally and ethically. I am fully insured and my practice is GDPR compliant so you can be confident you data is in safe hands. Alongside my private clients I have worked with clients within counselling agencies on a short term and long term basis and have supported clients going through a wide variety of issues.
