Pamela is a qualified therapeutic counsellor, she provides her clients a warm, supportive, and non-judge-mental therapeutic environment. She works with clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, enabling them to gain a clearer understanding of their life experience, identify and use their own resources in sustaining a comfortable life, as well as to find healthier strategies of managing emotions and dealing with stress.

Working as a counsellor Pamela draws from several theoretical approaches, and tailors them to the unique needs of her clients. She works with the person-centred models and aims to offer a space which enables her clients to safely explore and unpack issues which they choose to work through, at their own pace. She is flexible, good communicator, with good listening skills, congruent, empathetic, she also understands that it can be difficult to make sense of life events and changes and believes it is important to offer a trustworthy and confidential space for clients to not only embark on a journey of self-exploration and change, but to also gain a feeling of value and self-worth which is important for self-development and growth. Pamela is a therapeutic counsellor who works in private practice in Clapham North providing face to face, online and telephone counselling. She has a CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and is a Registered Member of BACP, with a goal to work towards accreditation

Pamela comes from a helping/caring background and has been a long-term carer with experience of working with dementia and bereavement. She has developed an understanding of the challenges and how it can impact the personal areas of an individual’s life. She has an interest in depression and anxiety, family, and relationship issues, and has gained experience in providing clients with a safe and supportive space to explore these challenges. By learning and understanding for herself how therapy can bring about helpful and positive change within a person’s life, Pamela developed a passion for Counselling. She has since gained experience through training, and volunteering, she has built upon her desire to work therapeutically with clients from a range of cultural backgrounds and various walks of life.
