I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and hold a Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) award in Therapeutic Counselling, and a Graduate Certificate in Psychodynamic Practice. By integrating these models, Angela supports clients to address their current concerns in an empathic and non-judgmental manner, while connecting current patterns of relating to issues stemming from the past.

By respecting each client as an individual, I tailor every session to meet clients’ unique needs, focusing on building relationships built on mutual trust and respect, taking a client-centred approach, empowering clients to direct and lead sessions at their own pace. Integrating the humanistic and psychodynamic approach empower clients to address their issues, implement new healthier ways of living and relating to others, re-join communities productively and confidently, reflect on self-growth, build exciting new futures, and repair relationships.

My main areas that I work in are anxiety and addictions, I work with a variety of issues including stress, depression and bereavement. I have a background working as an addictions counsellor in residential treatment, and recognise that addiction and mental health issues can cause devastation in a person’s life. I appreciate just how challenging it can be to pick up the pieces and rebuild a life. I understand the fears of facing an unknown future while carrying guilt and shame from the past.
