Therapists
My name is Jannelle and having completed a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and a 2 year placement with one of the UK’s leading culturally sensitive therapy services. I have my own private practice which supports people to gain clarity and autonomy over their lives through 1:1 counselling, coaching, mentoring and events. My professional training and experience allows me to work integratively with a range of presenting challenges. I take the time to understand what style of support suits you and am not limited to only one approach. In saying this, the foundation of my work stems from creating a safe environment for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. This in turn supports you to gain self awareness, clarity and empowerment towards living a life aligned with your true self.
I offer a 15 minute introductory conversation where you can ask any practical questions and from there we usually arrange an initial session where we go into more detail about what brings you to therapy and decide on the next steps together. I work usually work with clients on an open ended basis but also support clients on a short term arrangement depending on the desired outcome. I am very intentional with the health of the therapeutic relationship I share with my clients because I believe it helps break down some barriers between their suppressed and repressed thoughts. We create a safe space which makes it a little bit easier to be open and honest and thus achieve the outcome the client had in mind.
I specialise in supporting clients to rebuild a broken relationship with themselves which could manifest in a range of ways that effect the way they navigate their lives. Some of these ways come under the umbrella of anxiety, depression, thoughts of past traumatic experiences and breakdowns in relationships with others.
