I work in South-West London (Tooting and Clapham). I have an MSc in TA Psychotherapy and am a Certified Transactional Analyst, and am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) (No. 2011175859). My experience includes over 9 years' providing counselling and therapy to individuals and couples, including at Mind and Age UK, and as a volunteer listener helping callers in despair and distress at the Samaritans.

I believe in order for you to get the most out of counselling or therapy you will need to feel safe and comfortable sharing difficult and painful thoughts, feelings and memories without fear of judgment. So I’ll work with you to build a strong working relationship suited to your individual needs, taking the time to get to know you and what you want to get from the therapy relationship. I’ll help you understand what’s causing you suffering or difficulty, and gain awareness of how you think, feel and behave, so that we can work together to understand your difficulties, their meaning for you and their impact on your life. I'll also help you explore anything you can do to increase your happiness, and achieve your goals in life. I use Transactional Analysis (TA), a form of psychotherapy to help explore feelings, thoughts, behaviours, and relationship patterns in a way similar to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), incorporating mindfulness to facilitate awareness of thoughts and connection with feelings.

I have an interest in mindfulness and meditation, incorporating these ideas into my work, helping you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings. I believe that through becoming more aware of what is going on inside our minds and bodies, accepting our moment-to-moment experience, and cultivating an attitude of compassion for ourselves, we can find experience greater wellbeing, satisfaction, and enjoyment of life.
