I am a qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist with a wide range of experience gained in private practice and organizational settings. I hold the Clinical Qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the British Psychotherapy Foundation. I am a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their codes of ethics. I offer an empathic, confidential, containing space in which to reflect with you about whatever is on your mind, at a pace that is sensitive to you in the moment.

I will support you to talk about what is troubling you now and to explore this in the context of other aspects of your life, including your life history. This is because the feelings, thoughts and relationships that trouble us in the present often have their roots in experiences from the past, sometimes dating back to early childhood. Insight into the links between past life experiences and current emotional difficulties can bring to light relationship patterns that have sometimes repeated out of awareness for a long time and which may now be detrimental to your well-being, leading to emotional distress. With this understanding comes gradual symptom relief and the potential for change through the choice of more fulfilling relationships, in which your own needs and wishes are acknowledged, and also a life more in step with your authentic self.

I have experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns, including relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addiction, loss, divorce, bereavement, infertility, adoption and identity.
