Therapists

I am a person centred counsellor/psychotherapist based in South West London. I work with adults, online and in person. I love what I do - it is a privilege to hold the inner experiences of those I work with, gently empowering my clients to discover what they need and what they may wish to shed, in order to live authentically and open-heartedly. I have worked with many issues and concerns, including anxiety, overwhelm, stress, depression, low mood, loss, bereavement, identity, parenting, low self-esteem, relationship struggles, loneliness, neurodivergence, miscarriage, infertility and involuntary childlessness. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and I shape my practice around the BACP ethical principles - in particular having respect, compassion and integrity, and seeking to work collaboratively and inclusively with all clients. Please feel free to contact me to book a no-obligation, 20-minute call so that we can find out more about each other and see whether we might be a good fit.

Things can sometimes feel stuck, overwhelming, confusing, frustrating or painful. It's not always obvious why - or clear how to move forward. I believe that when we are met with genuine acceptance, gentle curiosity, warmth and empathy, we can begin a self-healing process that deepens our connection with ourselves and others and helps us to understand and cherish who we are, who we have been and who we might be. As a person centred, pluralistic counsellor, I believe that you are the expert of your own inner world. I see my role as a warm and steady companion, gently supporting you to reflect on anything that feels hard, unresolved or painful. I will go at your pace and I welcome all the different parts of you, holding each with respect, openness, kindness and trust. I work in a collaborative way, listening out for what works and checking in with you about how things are feeling. We can use traditional talking therapy, photos, symbolic objects, expressive writing, poetry, or other creative methods if they resonate with you. I work both short term and long term and I am open to discussing session duration, frequency and mode (e.g. online, by phone and in person).

My counselling and mental health mentoring experience spans the NHS, the charity sector and the Higher Education sector, and I am also a volunteer support group facilitator with the Miscarriage Association. I trained at the well-regarded Metanoia Institute. I hold a BSc (Hons) Person Centred Pluralistic Counselling (First Class) and a BACP-accredited Professional Certificate in Facilitating Online and Phone Therapy, meaning that I can work flexibly in a safe, ethical way. In addition to traditional talking therapy, I am also able to work creatively, with symbolic objects, poetry, expressive writing or photos, which some clients may find supportive.
