As a fully qualified, BACP registered counsellor, I support individuals as well as couples who find it difficult to cope on their own with problems they encounter in life.
By fostering a warm and respectful relationship, I seek to help my clients to express their concerns as openly as they can. I do not diagnose, appraise or judge. Rather, I try to understand the story they tell about their problems so that together we can find new ways of understanding and coping with distress or confusion.
Informed by person-centred, narrative and existentialist approaches, I work in close collaboration with my clients to help them to achieve what they need to feel better and more resourceful in their lives. With my former academic interest in social anthropology and my experience of living in different cultures, I enjoy working with people from diverse social and cultural background.
